Question by Adam Garret: Any ideas about good life insurance plans in the Chicago area?
I am about 27 years old and need to start some sort of a financial planning. So i was looking for some good life insurance plans and advice. I stay in the Chicago area so help would be greatly appreciated. Also are there any sites through which i can increase knowledge on financial planning since i am a newbie at this whole thing?

Best answer:

Answer by Sam B
Pretty tough with the unlimited choices out there. But then the good thing is that at least you are thinking on these lines. Contrary to the belief that married people only take life insurance, it can be beneficial to single people as well

Life insurance can provide benefits like tax-differed cash value and of course life coverage. Also the point to remember is that the younger you are, the lower the insurance premium. So it’s important to start early and when you are young.

In case you want to know more about this topic, you can lockup the sources listed. Hope i helped and happy life insurance hunting.

Question by Ashli: How can I avoid paying for car rental insurance?
I drive a rental car, but the insurance is very expensive. I have to pay a daily price. I have non owners insurance, but that does not cover collision. Is there a way to avoid paying these prices as they are so expensive but still have full coverage? I tried to insure the car but I couldn’t being that it isn’t minds. The non owners policy is legal but it doesn’t cover the car. Thanks for any suggestions.

Best answer:

Answer by bill the businessman
that is a tough one. yes, you must own a car, if your going to continue this-buy a very cheap car and insure it.there is no other way.
I recently found out, certain
insurance companies will not insure you driving rental cars.Budget car rental provides a list of insurance providers that
will not insure your driving a rental car. Also remember, thieves target rental cars..

Question by ~♠♥CJ♥♠~: What other types of insurance do you have besides homeowners, auto, health, and life?
I just bought a house and I’m about to get married. I’m thinking I should have some kind of insurance that could pay the mortgage should I ever become unable to work since I am the main breadwinner and there’s no way my soon to be husband could pay all the bills himself. He could probably hack it without the mortgage payment, that would be the killer. Anyone in the same boat? What kind of insurance is the best for this, disability or mortgage insurance?

Best answer:

Answer by mbrcatz
You’re talking about disability coverage. There are two kinds, short term, and long term. I think short term is a waste of money, you’re better off just saving up for that one. Many people rely on social security disability for long term disability – which can take a LONG time to activate.

You do NOT want to buy mortgage disability – if you’re buying ANY kind of insurance, you want it to pay YOU, not the lender.
